Maria Montessori Academy is housed in a former public elementary school, but the similarities end at the front door. Our lower level contains the administrative and meeting space, our Middle School class, Sigma, in a purpose built space designed to accommodate the needs of adolescents, as well as our High School class. The rear of the lower level houses our Preschool classes, Sunshine Room, Pink Room, Serenity and the Casa program. The classes are bright and cheerful with a wall of windows in each room providing plenty of natural light. The library, music room and French room round out the main floor.

The upper level of the school contains seven classrooms for our elementary level program, as well as a multi-purpose room and dedicated art room. The full size gym and stage accommodate basketball games, as well as Christmas concerts.

Located on just over three acres, the school provides lots of outdoor play opportunities. The “Peaceful Playground” is a dedicated preschool playground with covered sandbox, tricycles and a shady tree to lounge under when students need to catch their breath.

At the rear of the building we have a secure full size playing field, as well as junior climbing apparatus and covered sandbox. Garry Oak trees provide shade in the warmer months.
