Maria Montessori Academy Parents Group is responsible for a variety of activities such as Pizza Days, Book Fairs, and Used Uniform Sales. As well they organize one major fundraiser per year to assist in funding special events and projects such as playground equipment, theatre events, swimming or gymnastics. All parents of children attending Maria Montessori Academy are members of the Parents Group.

President
a) Shall attend and chair all membership, special, and executive meetings.
b) Shall ensure that an agenda is prepared and presented.
c) Shall appoint committees where authorized to do so by the executive or membership. E.g. Spring Fair committee
d) Shall take such actions or ensure that such actions are taken by others to achieve the objectives and purpose of the organization.
e) Shall be the official spokesperson for the organization.
f) May be a signing officer.
Treasurer
a) Shall be responsible for and report on the accounts of the organization.
b) May be one of the three signing officers of the executive.
c) Shall prepare a financial report.
d) Shall, with the assistance of the executive, draft a budget and tentative plan of expenditures.
e) Shall ensure that another financial signing officer has access to the books in the event of his/her absence.
f) Shall submit an annual report.
Parent Group Meetings
Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month during the school year. All parents are welcome to attend meetings to support the school community.
